Increase to ODSP Rates

As of July 1, 2026, the Provincial Government raised Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) rates by 1.9 per cent (%).

This is the fifth rate increase since the government tied ODSP rates to inflation in September 2022. Since then, the rates have increased by a total of 22%.

The inflation-based increase of 1.9% to ODSP this year applies to:

basic needs and shelter maximum amounts for singles and families

The Green Paper, a policy paper designed to encourage discussion and future action, focuses on reforms to Canada’s housing and mortgage systems to help advance inclusive housing and to make it easier to create communities where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) can thrive with independence, dignity, and belonging. It also outlines practical policy solutions to help make inclusive housing more affordable, sustainable, and scalable, including recommendations to modernise mortgage and financing policies.

Several of you have requested opportunity to meet up in person outside of our larger events such as the Christmas celebration and summer picnics, which currently are on hold.

Esther is trying to organize some more regular in person meet ups, perhaps once a month or once every other month, in different locations across the GTA. We want to have meet ups in Etobicoke, Scarborough, East York and then eventually, depending on expressed interest, perhaps Barrie, Newmarket, Brampton or Hamilton! But we need you there.
