Fostering Black Student Excellence: From Pre K to Ph.D.
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming virtual workshop, "Fostering Black Student Excellence: From Pre K to Ph.D.," designed specifically for parents, caregivers and educators who are committed to supporting the academic and personal success of Black students.
This virtual workshop will take place on October 28, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EST), and will cover key topics that are essential to nurturing Black student achievement at all stages of education.
The session is based on the research of Dr. Beverly-Jean Daniel and is supported by the Canadian Alliance of Black Educators (CABE).
Workshop Topics Include:
Developing Positive Black Racial Identities
Creating and Supporting Black-Affirming Community Spaces
Navigating Conversations about Race and Racism
This event will provide invaluable insights, tools, and strategies to help parents and caregivers foster environments that support and uplift Black students, from their early years through to higher education.
