Celebrate Black neurodivergent brilliance: learn, reflect, and support equity at our Lunch & Learn this Black History Month!
Join us for a free Lunch and Learn!
Join us for a thought-provoking and affirming session that centers the brilliance, resilience, and lived realities of Black neurodivergent people.
This session looks at neurodiversity through the experiences of Black and racialized people. It focuses on the barriers Black children, youth, and families face when seeking diagnoses and support, and how bias and systemic inequities affect schools, healthcare, and social services. Led by Safia Abdulle (she/her), a PhD candidate, researcher, and social worker, the session highlights the strengths, creativity, and resilience of Black neurodivergent people and invites participants to think about how we can create more fair and supportive systems of care.
