Canada Disability Benefit
Hello Sawubona community,
Sorry for this email over the holidays but we felt it very important to get this one out so that we can get responses and be prepared to support families in the new year.
There will be a new Canada Disability Benefit rolling out in the new year, 2025.
In order to be eligible, you MUST be already registered for the Disability Tax Credit and as well have filed your 2023 income tax return.
If you are not already registered for the Disability Tax Credit and want support, please reach out to us at info@sawubonaacs.org as soon as able and we will add you to a list for support from Sawubona and our partners NSI (New Society Institute). This support will begin in January and more details to come. This will be a FREE service.
And this is not only for your child with a disability. If YOU live with a disability or support another loved one such as a spouse/partner, parent or sibling, this counts as well.
