Dementia screening programs for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD)
Want to help us learn how dementia screening programs are being implemented across Canada and understand the experiences of health and social service providers to use the NTG-Early Detection Screen for Dementia (NTG-EDSD)? Participate in our research survey!
We are a group of researchers at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) doing a study, titled Evaluating implementation of a dementia screening program for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We’re particularly interested in identifying your experiences with dementia screening, barriers and facilitators to using the dementia screener, as well as understanding why some staff may not be using it.
Who can participate in the survey?
Health and social service providers supporting adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) aged 40 years or older.
Individuals able to complete the informed consent form, who live in Canada, and can communicate in English.
What does participation involve?
Complete an online 20-30 minute survey using your internet and a computer, tablet, or smartphone

This link will lead to the Informed Consent Form (ICF), which will explain the study’s purpose, procedures, potential risks/benefits, confidentiality considerations, and participant rights
If you agree to participate, click “Next” to proceed to the survey and once you complete the survey, you’ll have the option to enter the raffle.
If you would like support in completing the survey via telephone or would like a paper copy of the survey, please contact our research staff using the contact information below.
There is no cost to take part in this research and participation is completely voluntary. Your decision will not affect any present or future services provided by CAMH. Everything you share in the survey will be kept confidential. As well, as recognition of participation, you can enter a raffle for a 1 in 20 chance to win printed copies of developmental disability resources/tools.
