Community Living Ontario Family Conference Registration Now OPEN! May 31 - June 1, 2025

Hot off the press folks!

I am on the organizing committee for this conference and want to see many, many Sawubona families attend from across the province! Historically, these events lack diversity in the families that attend and benefit from the learning and connection. I want to ensure that this one is different.

There are 6 locations noted below but you MUST apply to attend before the March 31st deadline!

Sawubona will be having its own single day retreat the weekend before (May 24th in Simcoe County) you can attend both events or choose from one or the other.

Our event will be FREE but the CLO event, including hotel stay, will be "pay what you can". Sounds reasonable to me!

Look forward to either seeing you at one of the locations or hearing about your learning later on.

CLO's First-Ever Family Conference — Apply Now

CLO will be hosting our first-ever family conference on Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, 2025. The conference will be hosted in-person simultaneously across six locations in Ontario, which will be connected to one another virtually:

  • Community Living Brantford

  • Community Living Windsor

  • Community Living Kingston

  • Community Living Timmins

  • Community Living Thunder Bay

  • Durham Family Resources (GTA)

This inaugural family conference will be instrumental in fostering communication and collaboration among family members across Ontario. Families will have a platform to engage in open discussions, share experiences, and collaborate on solutions to common issues that parents of children who have disabilities often face. Selected applicants will "pay-what-they-can" to attend this two-day conference, listen to other parents and keynote speakers, and participate in group activities designed to enhance family dynamics and communication.

CLO would like to thank the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence for their generous support, and our regional members for their partnership, without which this event would not be possible.

If you and your family are interested in attending, please fill out our applicationApplications will close on Monday, March 31 at 5 p.m. EDT.
